We shall never speak of 2012 again....

Piecing together my weekend is harder than one would imagine. I'm important and have a lot of things going on. Some are secret-undercover-covert-type operations, others are wide open for anyone to know. If you follow me long enough, you'll get to see both.

This last weekend started on Friday night. I was put in charge of my neighbor's children. I know what you're thinking, BUT said neighbor, has NO problem with tying them up and putting them in a closet if they start mutiny. no.problem. She's like a sister.
Notice the LARGE air up mattress? This, my friends, is the sign of a true boy scout. A master of the craft. A born leader....and
the first one to be taken prisoner! I feel in my heart that he was probably ganged up on, but I'm sure it was deserved.

I was joined in forces Friday night, by my girlfriend Edie. I figured if anything got out of hand that maybe one of us would get out alive.  And to add a little muscle I invited my guy Friend, pictured below, Jax.
You'll notice that he's been around a lot lately. But clearly, he got scared, because he ran off Saturday night. I haven't seen him since...SO.... My girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to Chickasha. Remember? I told you I wanted to see the lights.... You people have the attention span of Gnats! That, or you haven't caught up on my earlier stories.

it was beautiful!!
Maybe next year I won't be alone on this bridge...or I'll be dangling from it....it could go either way.

In the end, I survived the LAST weekend of the year 2012. It's been a tough year folks. A very tough year. and I could have never made it though without my friends.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

A picture from the PAST!!

There are good things and bad things about facebook.

1 - Bad - I was addicted to checking mine constantly. Could not go an hour without looking at the news feed to see who was doing what and how many LIKES I had on my last post... personal all time high, 40 Likes.

2 - Good - a place to look and keep all your photos!! I just ran across this one on my cousins pages
My beautiful cousin Megan (on the left) and my two kids on the right. They WERE Blondie's!! SEE - nobody believed me!!

I have to veiw FB through my son's, since I deleted my Facebook a few months back. Why did I delete it? re-read #1 above. You viewers are SLOW.

I sometimes think about returning to Facebook, but really...it has caused me nothing but trouble. So I think I will stick to my blogger and be okay with NO LIKES, NO READS, NO COMMENTS....because at least I'm getting all this randomness out of my head.

I have more to write about from my weekend, but sadly I left the cord to the camera in my car, and it is COLD outside....so once I con someone to getting it out of my car, I'll write and illustrate a little more.

The Last weekend of 2012...

This is the LAST Friday of the year. How are you going to spend it?

I spent last weekend with the family, the in-laws, and a few friends along the way
The In-Laws

The Outlaws

I have 5 boys coming to the house tonight. Count them, FIVE!! Well, four young men, and a GROWN man.

3 neighborhood kids, my son, and my new guy friend.
The Boys

I'm not sure of our plans, but I'm sure lots of noise will be involved.
Thing One and Thing Two

Oh, I almost forgot, My daughter and her boyfriend may be there too. I think I feel a Wii challenge coming on...and a roaring fire in the fireplace!

Beauty and The Beast...

So how are you spending your last Friday of the year?

A Christmas Party, a Train Ride and Holiday Lights! Oh My!

Last night was a great time from start to finish.....for me. And we all know what the holiday season is about, don't we?! Yes....little o' me!

It started with a house full of Little People.
It's Christmas Break and
Boys will be boys. There was only ONE near fatal fatality. Apparently being hit in the 'privates' will take a boy out for a solid 30 minutes. and while said boy is down...the others will swarm him like a wounded animal.

Since there was no blood, I proceeded to the nail salon. I needed a Manicure and Pedicure. I know, I shouldn't have gotten a pedicure, nobody is ever gonna see my toes. But let me tell you something... I like pedicures. a. lot. AND remember... what's the holiday season about? you're catching on! ME.

I went to the salon because I had a work Christmas party to attend. Not my work, but my friend's work.  And I wanted to look cute with some Hooker Red nail polish!

What's that? Cougar Claws? I think YES!

The company provided all the kids at the company with toys. That's pretty neat, huh?!  It was held at a hotel in OKC off Meridan. There was a full course meal and dessert. It was TASTY! Duncan said, "how come your food doesn't taste like this?" WHAT?! This close to Christmas and he's talking like that? Ahem.... I think a few things aren't going to make it under the tree.

After the Party I was taken through the light display in Yukon. And let me tell you internetz something.... It was spectacular!! We opted for the train ride through the light display first. It was cold, but that puts you in the holiday spirit, and you get some cozy cuddle time.

I really enjoyed the lights and think I have decided that I want to go see Chickasha Lights next. I've never been. My sister has, and goes with a group of her friends. None of my friends seem to have the light fetish I have, so they aren't interested.
After the lights, we dropped off our handsome escort at his double parked chariot and Duncan and I drove home. Me with a smile from ear to ear (because the season is about?....ME...Keep up!) and Duncan with his hands glued to my cell phone looking through "ifunny".  Picture perfect post card moment.

You win some, you lose some

Spent 4 hours at a little league basketball game last night. Had dinner at the concession stand (nachos, hot dogs, candy bars and soda) It was gross with a capital GAH!

Here's Duncan warming up

But these are the things you endure so that your child can be part of the team. So that they can play with other children and unite for a common goal. To win the game! Last night's game was against the McLoud Redskins, which is also my alma mater. I was torn. I've grown up saying "GO REDSKINS", and now to be rooting against them, it just seems so un-natural.

Here he is practicing his "air ball"
He's the one with his hands up jumping. Form is very important in basketball. Notice as he jumps, he's still shorter than most of the other kids. His father blames my side of the family for that.

He's number 20. See how closely he is listening to his coach?

"Put me in coach, I'm ready to play"

and this is where he was the WHOLE night. Not even 20 seconds of play time. But you know what? It doesn't seem to phase him. He will practice shooting at home all night long. He will run laps to build stamina. He does everything the "starters" do, because one day, he's gonna get to play!

We lost to the Redskins by 5 points. And if you ask me, it's because my son didn't touch the court. Because I have the BEST Basketball player in the world living under my roof! I'm his personal cheerleader, just ask me, I'll tell ya!

Christmas Band

I have come to the conclusion that I am not very photogenic. At. All.

Which is really sad, because I'm pretty sure in REAL LIFE I am compared to a super model. Go ahead just ask me, I'll tell you.

Last night was my son's band performance. He did really well. I am a proud momma. Below you can see him with his manly clarinet.
Right smack-dab in between two 6th grade hotties. Tell me THAT wasn't by design! It was an impressive Christmas Musical, but in all honesty, the beginning band has an AWFULLY LONG way to go before there are any music contacts signed. The Jazz Band made me want to dance, but as you all know, my moves would have stopped the show, and we couldn't have that. Plus I hadn't been drinking...so, it was pretty easy to contain myself.

Afterward my sister and brother-in-law treated the kids to Garfields... where you can no longer color on the tables. There was a collective sigh of disappointment when we found that out. After a long discussion of what everyone was hungry for and, as my sister pointed out, stimulating, engrossing and very intellectual conversation, we headed home.  All in all it was a pretty fantastic night.

Looking for a forever home

My mother is looking for a FOREVER home for her puppy Blaze.

Blaze.... She'll be 1 in January

My sister is appalled that she would give away her dog. I on the other hand, totally understand. Dogs are a lot of work. You have to be home every single day. They are harder than children, because children eventually grow up and move out....dogs are with you until DEATH. It's really deep if you think about it. And it's more commitment than I can give. You will learn, I have commitment issues. HUGE commitment issues.

My Guilty Pleasure

Last night was the first Tuesday night without watching Sons of Anarchy. Anyone that knows me, knows I am an SOA freak. I only have cable to watch this show from late September to early December. I just finished Season 5 and am convinced that Kurt Sutter (creator) has cameras in my house, because so much of this show has passed through my kitchen. Most recently, the title of the season finale "J'ai Obtenu Cette" (French translation: I got this.)
I say, "I got this" all.the.time. Although I'm usually double-fisting beer at the time....
What hasn't passed through my kitchen, though, is Kim Coats (Tig). I would definitely tap THAT.

So for you SOA fans, where do these characters stand for Season 6? Below...my take.
Clay Morrow

Clay has been arrested for murder. I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for him, but I do believe that he's a regret-filled, sorrowful shell of his former self. Note his reaction upon hearing the charges, upon learning that both Juice and Gemma turned on him: simple hurt and begrudging acceptance.
He didn't rage, he didn't scream or yell. He seemed resigned to his fate. Of course someone like him wouldn't have a loyal best friend or actually get the girl. He knows that can't be how his story ends.
Tara Knowles-Teller

Tara is in handcuffs. And she was oh so close to getting away! This was a tough one to take. With the babies crying in the background, with Tara having just delivered a winning speech about her role of being strong in Jax's weaker areas, with her quick turn from sullen to stoic... just great stuff all around, from the acting to the unexpected cliffhanger itself.

My Alter Ego - Gemma Teller-Morrow

Gemma is back in charge. This is a woman who has always done what she can to survive, but has she lost any and all sympathy? Turning in the mother of her grandchildren is downright evil. Forget Jax or Nero getting out of the life... what about Gemma? She had her chance here. Her rotten husband was gone, she had a good man by her side, song birds in a cage. And yet that still wasn't enough. She still had the need to be in such control that she took the drastic step of sending Tara to the slammer.
Don't chirp for her, Carl or Carla. She doesn't deserve it.
Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz

Juice is off the hook. When it comes to Jax, at least. But it seems impossible to believe that guilt won't continue to eat away at this SAMCRO member, the most innocent and wide-eyed of the bunch. From Roosevelt playing him to Clay jerking him around, poor Juice never knows who to trust or what to do.

My pretend husband,  Alexander "Tig" Trager

Tig has revenge. And a new furry friends! Who would have guessed that the biker whose daughter was recently burned alive would actually find the most salvation by season's end? Tig is a nut job, but what a great character.
Bobby Munson

Bobby has given himself a demotion. Still the most calm and collected of the group, it's hard to blame him for his reaction to Jax's underhanded machinations. But is a demotion really the right move? You can't affect change from the bottom.
Jackson Nathaniel "Jax" Teller

And finally there's Jax, of course. Will Tara's arrest be a wake-up call? Opie's death sent this President spiraling down a dark path, erasing his mission to exit Charming, live a clean life and make his father proud. What even remains of his club? Of his actual family? Both are more divided than ever.

That's where we leave things heading into Season 6. I hope we see more of Nero next year. I'm intrigued by Donal Logue's U.S. Marshal. And, grrrr, I really hate Gemma right about now.

Here's my tree

Busy week this week.

Tonight I take Master Duncan to find dress-clothes for his band concert Thursday night.
I'm really excited about it. I will take pictures and post on here afterwards.

Tomorrow I have to work late. Nothing to write about really.

Then Friday WHOO HOO!!! Duncan goes with his FA-thurs (said in the Darth Vadar voice or maybe it's a heavy Italian accent...not sure) whichever. I am kid-less for the entire weekend!!! I haven't been kid-less for the whole weekend in MONTHS!

Maybe I'll be able to finish Christmas Shopping. I am cutting it to the wire this year. I haven't even bought wrapping paper. I am ashamed.

But I have put up my tree !

That's one less worry I guess.

A lazy relaxing weekend

Good Morning Internetz!

Not a very eventful weekend, but for the most part, it was relaxing.
Friday, my new guy friend came out and we went to eat at Santa Fe Steakhouse. My daughter tagged along. Just like her momma, never passing up a free meal.

It was a 45 minute wait, so we wandered the Mall in search of ideas for Christmas presents. Nothing popped out at us, so we're still on the hunt. Santa was at the mall and there were a few fun photo opportunies.

Sarah and I

Then we went to Kickapoo Casino and watched a friend of mine perform, Amanda Coffee and Pops!
Look for them on Facebook. She's gone to fulltime singing and is for hire at your events!!
They are really good and anytime I get a chance to go watch them I will!

Saturday I laid around all day and did a whole bunch of nothing. Sunday was the exact same thing, except there was some laundry involved. So I pretty much wasted my entire weekend. It was nice.

What's been going on this week

Happy Friday Internetz!
It is indeed a good going to be a good day! I have a guy friend (pictured below)who is coming to see me tonight. Not sure our plans yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

My daughter is also moving back home (only for a month she says). But it's going to be nice having her around. I kind of like her. Last night she was up until after 3AM painting my bathroom. It was a Royal Blue and Canary Yellow, (I wanted to go with a train theme, I never could find any locomotives for decorations and the man that it was intended for is no longer around), now my bathroom is Chocolate Brown and Bright Pink! Have I told you I love CHOCOLATE?! I do!
I'll take photos when she's done. It's gonna be PRETTY!!!
She also is painting the room she is moving into. It was a beautiful blue gray and reflective Silver. By reflective I mean it was along the lines of runway lights. My idea was GRAND, but it was a bit of an eye-soar.  Her new colors are cream and Bright RED
So. That's the most current news. Oh I almost forgot. My son is grounded from his laptop. You see, I've been coming home from work (after he's been home for a solid 2 hours) and he hasn't had his homework done. It's not been done, because he's been glued to the internet. So. Last night, after weeks of idol threats... I took it away-ith. He hates me now. And I'm okay with that.

Nameless
Today I want to talk about my car. I love my car. My car has lasted longer than my past several relationships.

My car has been stolen from me, and then recovered. I love love love my car.

My car is a beautiful slate-gray color. It has a sun roof and electric heated leather seats. It has a remote start, digital readings and cruise control.

The feature I love most about my car? The drivers side looks much like a cockpit of an airplane. All the controls and readings are geared toward me. Have I told you I love my car?

What else I love about my car? I made my last car payment this month! My car is officially MINE!!! MINE!! This make me smile. You see, I have never paid off a car from start to finish. I have always traded mine in for another car. But this car is different. This car is a keeper. I love this car LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

What makes me sad?... As I sit her and profess my love for this vehichle I realize...I have been in a 5 year relationship with her, and I don't even know her name. What kind of owner does that make me? Excuse me. I need a minute.

Hello Internetz! That's what I will call the readers. Internetz.

I just finished an Excel Training and I'm quite exhausted. I have another training tomorrow, even MORE intense (advanced excel). I will be ready for it to be OVER!!

Tomorrow is the season finale of Sons of Anarchy, AND my hot water tank has sprung a leak.
December has started out TOUGH!
